We're getting married!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,                     1 Peter 1:3-4

Rejoicing in the hope of Jesus Christ we (LaVon Wagler and Grace Lawson) would like to announce our engagement on August 23, 2008 and forthcoming marriage on April 4, 2009.

We began corresponding in April 2007 as friends. As our relationships with Jesus grew, so did the closeness of our friendship. Both of us seperately began seeking the Lord for direction about the other. As we received that clarity from the Lord, we felt the release and leading of the Holy Spirit to move on into courtship. After receiving the blessing to do so, we moved on from friendship and began to seek the Lord about what He had for us in the future and the timing for that. At seperate times the Lord spoke to both of us about our engagement and the ministry that He has for us together and the direction that this was the next step. We are now excitedly making plans for our wedding and life together with the blessing of our parents.

But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
                      For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one
flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together let no man put asunder.

                                                                                                 Mark 10:6-9

Our email address will be flowingas1@gmail.com so if you all would change that over in your contacts, that would be greatly appreciated.

Rejoicing in His goodness,
LaVon and Grace

Jesus, our incredible Saviour!

Hey, everyone

Please forgive me, I don't have much time here. Jesus is doing and showing me so much! Thank you, Jesus! It is an awesome journey with my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!

One thing the Lord has been showing me lately is to ask. To question. We need to know what we have in Jesus. To find out what the promises are that He's made us.

This morning I woke up with a sore throat and swollen glands. I prayed that it would be gone, I rebuked it several times with no effect. So I was praying and asking the Lord about healing and all. I KNOW God heals! So why wasn't He healing? Surely it wasn't too difficult for Him! So I started praying and the Lord revealed an area where I had judged some people for using sickness as a way to get out of doing things that they didn't want to do. So I repented of that and then the Lord told me to pray again.  I did and the swelling went down immediately and my sore throat was gone. It was so awesome!

So I charge, my brother's and sister's in Christ to ask and seek and go after Jesus! Ask what you can ask for!

Blessings,Grace

God is so good ....

Hey, everyone!

Jesus is so incredible! I am watching Him at work every day. It is so amazing to me. He has done so much in my life the past few weeks that it's impossible to tell everything.

We have had a couple people get saved at our house and that was awesome! I've never been that close or watched that kind of transformation in my life. It blew me away. Please keep them in your prayers. It's a mother and daughter. There names are Suzy (mother) and Tia (daughter). It is so much fun to watch them search and grow and question things. It's just amazing.

I have also been having some really awesome times with Jesus. For those of you who know, I have been ministering to my boss for awhile now and things have gotten better and then worse and then better and then worse in her relationship with her husband and in her life in general. So sometimes it's very encouraging and other times it's just hard for me to watch her struggle. But the Lord has opened the door for me to pray every morning with her. That's been really good.

Also we are working a little closer with the church now. We were put in charge of the meals for the Sunday crowd and have gotten to serve more and get acquainted with a lot more people thru that. It's been a really good experience for me to be able to serve people and have more interaction with the people that the church is working with. Then of course, there is all the dishes afterwards that aren't the best but that is part of serving too. It's been a great bonding time between some of the young girls in the church and has given me more opportunity to minister to them.

Please remember us in your prayers. Jesus is doing great things!

Blessings, Grace

So much ...

Hello, Everyone!

Happy New Year! The Lord has done so much since I last posted! I really must do a better job! This month since I am back from Mexico has flown by. I can't believe that it's been a month already! I can't believe it's a new year either! The Lord has done so much for all of us. We have gotten a lot done on the house with Robbie being here. We also had a friend from West Virginia come out for a few days and that was a blessing. We got some more OSB up in the laundry room, a wood stove in, and electricity run upstairs. Auna and I got the honors of painting. No, really, we had fun doing it and it's a lot of fun to watch the progress.

I am going to have to keep this post short but I do want to say that it is incredible to watch Jesus change lives! I just watched two people get transformed last night in our living room. A mother and daughter got saved and it was awesome! I mean, they even looked different afterwards! It was just amazing!

Progress ..

Hello, Everyone!

Now for some progress on the house! We have all the wiring done in my room!!!!!! It is so weird but so wonderful to be able to switch on the light! They are working on Mom and Dad's room now. The wall that was built for my room is finished now and we have the middle room between my room and Mom and Dad's almost done. It has a light in there as well. We primered today and will paint tomorrow. The laundry room also has the ceiling done and part of the wall in OSB.

Will update more soon.

Blessings, Grace
